Handmade Pasta Florence

For two · Oltrarno, Florence

A pasta class for two in Florence.

Not a coach, not a tour group, not a demonstration you watch from a stool. Two aprons, one board between you, and three hours of making something with your hands that you then sit down and eat together — with a glass of Chianti and no rush to leave.

Two ways to do it

Join the table — €95 each. You book two places at our signature class. The table never has more than eight people, so it stays a small, chatty kitchen rather than a crowd, and you two work your own station side by side. This is what most couples book, and the 18:00 evening slot is the one to ask for: it runs into dinner and nobody is watching the clock.

Take the kitchen — from €680. If you want it entirely to yourselves, our Family Long-Table is a full private buyout: your own chef, your own menu, your own hours. Couples book this for proposals, anniversaries and honeymoons, where being observed by strangers rather defeats the point.

Why pasta is a better date than dinner

A restaurant sits you across a table for ninety minutes. A pasta class puts you shoulder to shoulder for three hours doing something neither of you is good at yet, which is a great deal more interesting. You will be bad at tortelli together, you will fix each other's folds, and you will end up eating a lunch that has your fingerprints in it.

You are also cooking with two head chefs who do this for a living — pasta for wedding feasts and farmhouse tables is the day job — so you leave able to actually make it again at home. That tends to outlast a dinner reservation.

Celebrating something?

  • Tell us if it is a birthday, anniversary, engagement or honeymoon and we will quietly make a fuss of it — that is free, and it is the part we enjoy.
  • Planning a proposal? Book the private kitchen and message us first. We have done it before and we can help with the timing.
  • Add a wine pairing (+€18 per person): two Tuscan pours chosen to match what you made.
  • Gluten-free or other allergies? A dedicated station at no extra charge — see the gluten-free class.

Good to know.

Can we book a pasta class for just the two of us?

Yes. Book two places at the €95-per-person class and you join a table of never more than eight, working your own station side by side. If you want nobody else in the room at all, the private kitchen buyout starts at €680.

Is the €95 class private?

No — it is a small shared table, max 8 guests, which most couples prefer for the atmosphere. For a genuinely private class for two, book The Family Long-Table from €680.

Which time is best for a date?

The 18:00 evening class. It runs into dinner, the kitchen is at its warmest, and there is no next group waiting, so nobody hurries you away from the table.

We are celebrating an anniversary — can you do something?

Tell us when you book. We will make a quiet fuss of it at the table at no extra cost, and if you are planning something bigger like a proposal, message us and we will help you set it up in the private kitchen.

How do we book?

Use the "Book this class" button, pick your date, time and two guests. It opens a WhatsApp chat with everything filled in and we confirm personally — or write to ciao@handmadepastaflorence.com.
